About Tarun
Hello! I'm Tarun Mathew Doss from Chennai, India, currently a first-year medical student at the University of Manchester. I have been playing the piano for the past 14 years, and I've had the privilege of performing in the United States and across India. Outside of music, I enjoy playing football and spending time with friends.
I teach music because it's more than just notes on a page—it's a universal language that speaks to each of us in different ways. We all have that song we listen to before a big match, before an exam, or to unwind at the end of the day. My goal as a teacher is to help others discover the wonders of music, whether you're just starting out or looking to deepen your skills.

I aim to create a positive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable exploring their musical interests. • A student-centered approach, focusing on building a strong foundation in music theory, technique, and performance. I use a blend of classical and contemporary methods tailored to each student's learning style and interests. Whether it’s mastering a specific instrument or developing general music skills, as a young teacher I aim to make each lesson fun!
• 30 min / 1 hr lessons.
• Distinction in Trinity Piano Grade 8, KM Conservatory Programme Level 5/5, Tutored by Prof. Karl Lutchmayer.
• Lessons for all ages of beginner to intermediate level.
