About Ryan

Hello! My name is Ryan and I've been a professional musician and teacher for the last 10 years. My passion for music started on the saxophone at age 10, and from there I would pick up, trumpet, piano, drums and bass guitar.

I've been teaching private lessons since then and have experienced every type of student. Whether you've never touched a piano before or you're an independent artist looking for a new sound, I can help you along the way.

About the lesson

First I like to start to get to know the student and their goals for music making. What songs would they like to learn, which artists do the listen to and how much time they have available to practice.

Then, typically I will start my first lesson with a new student learning about the different parts of the piano as well as some technique to play a few scales. This is all to form a strong foundation for all consequent lessons.

What I feel sets me apart from other teachers is my knowledge base in being a multi-instrumentalist and drawing from my extensive performance experience over the last 10+ years. From jazz standards to progressive rock tunes, I've got you covered.

Whether you're a seasoned musician or just starting out, I can help you play the way YOU want and expand on your musical goals.
