About Gianna

My journey with piano began with fascination for its ability to carry harmony, melody, and rhythm all at once, making it one of the most expressive instruments. This passion led me to complete a B.Mus in Piano Studies, followed by an M.Mus in Collaborative Performance, where I explored both solo artistry and ensemble musicianship. Over the past 13 years, I have supported students in developing confidence, discipline, and creativity through piano learning.

I believe piano study should feel inspiring rather than overwhelming. My teaching style emphasizes strong technical foundations, expressive interpretation, and patient guidance. I help students build practice routines that are structured yet enjoyable, ensuring progress feels steady. Whether learners play for personal fulfillment, exams, or performance goals, lessons are tailored to their needs.

Outside teaching, I stay connected with piano through performance exploration, repertoire study, and ongoing music education research. Teaching piano is deeply fulfilling because I witness students grow into confident musicians who can express themselves beautifully through sound.

About the lesson

Piano becomes truly powerful when students learn not only to play accurately, but also to shape music with emotion, rhythm, and personal interpretation. In my lessons, I guide learners through finger independence, sight-reading fluency, rhythmic control, chord understanding, and expressive dynamics in a warm and structured environment. I focus on helping students feel comfortable at the keyboard, building strong foundations while also encouraging creativity and enjoyment. Each session is designed to make progress feel natural, meaningful, and motivating.

Lessons are adapted to each learner’s stage. Beginners start with posture, hand coordination, basic scales, rhythm counting, and simple melodies that create immediate confidence. Intermediate students develop stronger fluency through richer repertoire, chord progressions, pedal technique, and more expressive phrasing. Advanced learners explore challenging works, refined interpretation, improvisation, duet collaboration, and preparation for exams or performances. Every lesson includes clear practice strategies, supportive correction, and encouragement that keeps learners progressing steadily.

Piano lessons also strengthen patience, emotional confidence, and artistic identity. Many students discover that playing becomes a lifelong source of joy and personal growth. My goal is to help learners become expressive musicians who feel proud of their progress and inspired to continue their musical journey.
