About Logan
I have more than 12 years of experience teaching piano to college students, helping them grow as skilled, expressive, and confident musicians. My teaching style is personalized, adaptable, and creative, designed to meet each student’s learning style, pace, and goals. I incorporate innovative methods such as improvisation exercises, composition projects, modern music adaptations, and interactive sight-reading to make lessons engaging, productive, and enjoyable.
I focus on building strong technical skills, music theory knowledge, rhythm, and performance confidence, while also encouraging students to explore their personal style and express themselves musically. I strive to create a motivating, inspiring, and supportive learning environment where students feel confident, challenged, and excited to learn. My mission is to help students master the piano, discover their unique musical voice, and develop a lifelong passion for music.

My piano teaching approach focuses on creativity, understanding, and confidence. I believe piano lessons should be fun, structured, and meaningful for every student.
Creativity is encouraged through exploring songs students enjoy, improvisation, and different musical styles. This helps students express themselves and stay motivated.
As a mentor and critical thinker, I guide students to understand music clearly. I teach rhythm, finger technique, scales, chords, and musical expression in simple steps. Students learn to recognize mistakes and improve independently.
Accountability is a core part of my teaching. I help students set clear goals, follow consistent practice routines, and review progress regularly. This builds discipline and confidence.
Along with piano, I also teach music theory, sight reading, ear training, rhythm skills, keyboard basics, and basic composition to strengthen overall musical development.
