About Tamara
"Music has been my constant companion since my childhood days in the practice room. Developing solid technique while maintaining the pure joy of playing is a subtle challenge that I navigate daily. I hold an Artist Diploma in Piano Performance from the Eastman School of Music, which informs how I guide pupils through ABRSM and Trinity grade exam prep.
My approach emphasizes proper posture and hand position alongside scales and arpeggios to build a reliable foundation. Students often find that mastering memorization techniques and sight playing opens doors to complex classical repertoire. Beyond the classics, I enjoy incorporating pop, contemporary styles, jazz improvisation, and detailed chord voicing into our regular practice sessions."
