About Arlo
I have 14 years of experience as a Piano tutor, specializing in teaching college students who want to improve their playing skills and musical knowledge. My mission is to make learning enjoyable while helping students build a strong musical foundation.
My lessons are personalized to match each student's goals, learning speed, and interests. I explain every topic in simple English and use demonstrations that make even difficult techniques easier to understand.
I apply innovative teaching methods such as technology-assisted learning, ear training, visual instruction, rhythm development, and personalized song practice. These approaches help students stay motivated and develop practical skills.
Students learn note reading, scales, chords, hand coordination, rhythm, posture, and musical expression. I monitor progress regularly and provide encouraging feedback so students continue improving with confidence.

My teaching style is based on making piano lessons practical, enjoyable, and easy to understand. Every student learns in a different way, so I first understand their goals, experience, and interests before planning lessons. This helps me provide individual attention and steady progress.
Real-life examples are an important part of every class. I explain rhythm using daily activities, teach music theory through familiar songs, and use practical case studies to show how musicians solve musical challenges. These methods make lessons interesting and help students apply what they learn.
Understanding is the foundation of my teaching. I encourage students to think about music rather than simply memorizing notes. Each lesson is taught step by step so students build confidence and strong technical skills.
Communication creates a positive learning atmosphere. I explain difficult concepts in simple English, answer questions patiently, and provide encouraging feedback. Students always know what to practice and how to improve.
