About Juliet
I have 8 years of experience teaching piano to learners of all ages and skill levels. I hold a B.Mus in Piano Performance and Music Education, equipping me with expertise in technique, musical interpretation, pedagogy, and performance preparation. My philosophy emphasises blending technical mastery with creative exploration, allowing students to develop both skill and artistic voice.
In lessons, I incorporate scales, arpeggios, technical exercises, repertoire, improvisation, phrasing, and performance coaching. Instruction is adapted to each student’s ability, goals, and interests, providing consistent support, encouragement, and feedback for steady progress.
Outside teaching, I perform regularly, explore diverse musical genres, and attend masterclasses to enrich lessons with practical insights. Watching students develop technique, expressive interpretation, and confidence is profoundly rewarding. My mission is to nurture skilled, expressive, and confident pianists who enjoy music and continue to grow creatively throughout their lives.

Piano lessons are most effective when students build both technical skills and expressive artistry. I focus on finger independence, hand coordination, scales, arpeggios, sight-reading, rhythm, dynamics, phrasing, and repertoire interpretation. Lessons combine structured exercises, études, improvisation, sight-reading practice, and performance coaching to cultivate both skill and confidence. I foster a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to experiment, reflect, and explore musical expression while developing precision and technique.
Lesson plans are tailored to each learner. Beginners focus on finger positioning, basic scales, simple melodies, rhythmic exercises, and note reading. Intermediate learners refine technical skills, chord progressions, sight-reading fluency, phrasing, expressive interpretation, and small ensemble playing. Advanced learners work on performance-ready repertoire, complex technical passages, stylistic interpretation, improvisation, and stage presence. Each session balances disciplined practice with creative exploration to nurture well-rounded pianists capable of confident performance.
The goal is to cultivate technically proficient, musically expressive, and confident pianists. Students strengthen technical ability, musical understanding, creative interpretation, and stage presence. I provide personalised guidance, structured practice strategies, and feedback to ensure consistent improvement and foster a lifelong love for piano.
