About Keira

Hi there, I've been teaching piano since 2013 so I've been in it for a long time! Classically trained since age 4 and Award Winning Piano Teacher with Steinway and Sons, Beverly Hills, I spent most of my life learning how to read and replicate beautiful masterpieces.

I decided to be a different kind of piano teacher and fill an obvious void in the piano education world - the teacher for the singers, songwriters, producers, artists and creatives who want something else out of piano.

Do you want to accompany yourself while singing? Play covers of your favorite songs? Write your own songs? If you are a creative that wants to get straight to the artistry part, I'm the teacher for you!

My curriculum is called Piano for the Singer Songwriter Producer and I've been delivering it in person all over Los Angeles for 13 years. After studying with me, you will know how to figure out the key signature of a song, hop on a track, jam with friends, cover your favorite songs, understand chords better, know how to improvise and much more. All the things NOT addressed in traditional piano lessons.

About the lesson

Learn how to speak melody with my Modern Pianista Signature Exercises. Through this, we learn the alphabet of music and begin developing the confidence to improvise.

Lessons start out with finger drills and warm ups so you can learn your scales and chords. These are exercises I specifically curated to help you learn the language of music creatively. My exercises are melodic and are designed to teach you how to freestyle and improvise over time.

Depending on your level, we will work on songs of my recommendation or your personal choice. Over time, I work on developing you a set list (a group of 3-5 songs you can deliver at any given moment).
