About Stefano

of European origin, I have been living for 15 years in a small town in Chapada Diamantina, Vale do Capao, in Bahia (Brazil) with my wife and two children, aged 8 and 12. In this tourist town of 3500 inhabitants, 50 nationalities coexist, circus, theatre, dance, trekking, waterfalls, spiritual and holistic research, shamans and various religious practices....among other things. I have met musicians and composers from various parts of the world, I continually exchange musical knowledge and different practices, forming impromptu groups, recordings, concerts in the small cultural center "Casa do Piano" that I built. I constantly give individual lessons and collective workshops both here where I live and in the shifts I do in Brazil and Europe. I like making bread at home, pizza and drinking good wine. I am a ping pong instructor and I am writing my autobiography. I practise sound healing with a personal approach and use of piano and sounds.

About the lesson

I usually start with a few minutes of concentration and relaxation to achieve a state of attention and focus. I work on musical and technical aspects of the music, the mind, the hands, to then immediately insert them into the repertoire we are dealing with. Each piece of music is a source of ideas to work on: rhythmic, melodic and harmonic perception; development of technique and execution; personal work on self-control; ability to "invent" the exercises and practices appropriate for each student

Stefano is an extraordinary, inspiring and brilliant teacher. He is passionate about teaching and his method is to listen to the student and follow their rhythm and find music that they love. He has been teaching my eldest son for 8 years. He has now many options to study music in either London, Sao Paulo or the USA. I can’t reccomend him more highly. He has been teaching my youngest son piano for two months and he can already play chariots of fire and the girl from ipenema. Both my children are confident pianists who enjoy playing piano - this has all come from their teacher - Stefano!
