About Kahinee
I am a passionate piano tutor with 6 years of teaching experience and a record of successfully guiding around 300 students. My learners include high school students, college learners, and adults who want to develop technical skill, performance confidence, and a deep love for music.
My teaching philosophy focuses on building strong foundations while encouraging creativity and expression. I emphasise posture, hand coordination, finger independence, scales, arpeggios, rhythm, sight-reading, and musical interpretation. I make sure students understand both the technical and emotional aspects of every piece they play.
Lessons are structured with warm-ups, technique exercises, theory integration, and repertoire practice. I guide students on effective at-home practice to ensure consistent improvement. Many students have performed confidently in recitals, school programmes, and public events, while several have achieved high distinctions in graded examinations.
My goal is to nurture confident, expressive, and skilled pianists who enjoy music and continue developing throughout their journey.

My teaching methodology for piano is student-centred and adaptable. I focus on learning style adaptation, flexibility in instruction, collaborative goal setting, and a positive atmosphere. I believe every student can succeed with the right guidance.
I build strong foundations in technique, timing, dynamics, and music reading. I carefully plan lessons but remain flexible to adjust based on student needs. I provide clear demonstrations and practical exercises to strengthen skills.
Collaboration helps students stay motivated. I encourage them to communicate openly and share their musical preferences. Positivity is essential; I celebrate small achievements to build confidence.
Along with piano, I teach music theory, keyboard skills, sight-reading, and ear training. These complementary subjects help students become well-rounded musicians and independent learners.
