About Sara
Gentleness defines my classroom because music should not feel like a chore. Music theory is best understood when it feels like a puzzle rather than a series of abstract rules. Helping kids and teens find their footing is my specialty. I have taught 381 students during my 6 years as an instructor.
My own background includes a diploma in piano accompaniment and 10 years within youth-symphony ensembles. This experience shapes how I teach hand independence and chord voicing. Self-taught players often seek me out to gain structure. Seeing the progress of absolute beginners brings me a great deal of satisfaction.
I enjoy the challenge of helping someone find their sound. You will find that I keep things straightforward.
