About Alicia
I have 10 years of experience teaching piano, supported by a Bachelor of Music in Modern Piano Performance. My teaching journey has included guiding beginners discovering their first notes and intermediate students developing stronger fluency. I love helping learners build both technical confidence and expressive freedom at the keyboard. Piano is special because it combines structure, creativity, and emotional connection.
My teaching style is warm, organized, and encouraging. I focus on rhythm stability, finger technique, reading clarity, and musical expression. Students learn not only how to play correctly, but how to play with confidence and feeling. I believe every learner deserves lessons that match their pace and goals. Progress comes through consistency, support, and joyful practice.
Outside teaching, I stay engaged through repertoire study, accompaniment practice, and creative teaching methods. I enjoy seeing students perform confidently in personal and community settings. Piano is a lifelong skill that brings joy and connection. My goal is to guide learners toward musical growth with encouragement, clarity, and excitement.

Piano is a wonderful instrument because it allows students to build musical fluency, coordination, and creativity from the very beginning. In my lessons, I focus on finger independence, reading skills, rhythm training, and expressive playing. Students learn how to feel comfortable using both hands while developing steady control. Each session is supportive and structured, helping learners progress step by step. Piano becomes enjoyable when students feel growth without pressure. My goal is to make learning inspiring, practical, and rewarding.
My teaching approach balances technical development with creative exploration. Students practice scales, chord progressions, rhythm exercises, and real repertoire that matches their interests. I also include duet playing, timing games, and improvisation activities that strengthen listening and coordination. Learners who enjoy pop styles or accompaniment receive guidance in confident chord playing and musical groove. Lessons are always adapted to the student’s pace and personal goals.
Over time, students become more independent and expressive musicians. Piano becomes more than a skill—it becomes a personal voice. My goal is to help learners feel supported while building confidence and joy at the keyboard. Whether you play for fun, performance, or creativity, lessons provide steady progress.
