About Mia

My passion for piano began in childhood, inspired by the instrument’s expressive power and versatility. Over the past seven years, I’ve combined performance and teaching to help students uncover their own musical voice. Teaching allows me to witness the transformation that occurs when students learn not only to play notes but to interpret and feel music. Every student’s journey is unique, and my goal is to guide them toward technical mastery, artistic expression, and personal confidence. My teaching style is structured, patient, and adaptive. Lessons combine technical exercises, theory, sight-reading, and creative projects. I encourage exploration, improvisation, and musical curiosity, ensuring that each student feels engaged and supported. Mistakes are treated as opportunities for learning, fostering resilience and self-confidence. Outside the classroom, I continue to perform and compose, drawing inspiration from classical, contemporary, and improvisational styles. These experiences inform my teaching, helping me bring real-world insights into lessons. My mission is to help students not only achieve musical proficiency but also develop a lifelong love for piano and artistic expression.

About the lesson

Each piano lesson is designed to nurture both technical skill and musical creativity. Lessons begin with foundational exercises in posture, hand coordination, and rhythm, gradually advancing toward expressive performance and stylistic understanding. My philosophy emphasizes a balance of discipline and imagination, ensuring that students develop both accuracy and emotional connection. The classroom environment is supportive and motivating, encouraging learners to explore their creativity while gaining mastery over the instrument.

Beginners focus on note reading, basic finger technique, and simple melodies, while intermediate learners study scales, harmonies, and phrasing across different styles. Advanced students refine performance skills, interpretation, improvisation, and complex repertoire. Assignments include practice exercises, recordings, and musical projects to reinforce growth and self-expression. Lessons are personalized to each student’s interests, combining structured skill-building with opportunities for creative exploration and improvisation.

Students gain more than technical proficiency. They develop focus, patience, and confidence that extend beyond music. Playing the piano fosters emotional intelligence, mindfulness, and self-discipline, enabling students to connect deeply with the music and themselves.
