About Cara

My musical journey began when I first pressed a piano key as a child—it resonated with something deep inside me. That spark grew into years of formal study, performance, and eventually, a career in teaching. Over thirteen years, I’ve had the privilege of guiding students of all ages, helping them transform their curiosity into skill and artistry. I approach teaching with empathy and enthusiasm. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt lessons to match their pace, style, and goals. My classroom atmosphere is calm yet energizing—students are encouraged to explore, ask questions, and express themselves. I believe that true musicianship lies not only in technical accuracy but in emotion and authenticity. Outside the classroom, I perform in small ensembles, compose original music, and participate in community workshops that promote music education. The piano, for me, is not just an instrument—it’s a lifelong companion, one that teaches patience, resilience, and self-expression. Teaching allows me to share that relationship with others, turning learning into something deeply personal and fulfilling.

About the lesson

Learning piano is like learning to speak a new language—the language of music that expresses what words cannot. My lessons are designed to guide students from the first note toward a lifelong appreciation for the instrument. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an advanced performer, every session balances discipline with creativity, structure with inspiration.

For beginners, we explore the keyboard layout, note reading, rhythm, and coordination between hands. Through simple melodies and fun exercises, students quickly gain comfort and joy in playing. Intermediate learners develop their understanding of scales, chords, and phrasing, learning to interpret pieces with emotion and style. Advanced students refine their dynamics, sight-reading, and performance skills, exploring works from classical masters and modern composers alike.

I place strong emphasis on emotional connection—each piece tells a story. Students learn how tempo, articulation, and tone can express feeling. I integrate theory naturally into playing, ensuring that every student understands what they’re performing and why it sounds beautiful. Lessons end with a sense of accomplishment and inspiration to keep creating.
