About Julie
Sound starts with the weighted resistance of a piano key under my fingertips. I spent 13 years blending my BM Guitar degree and academic training with the folk traditions of South America. My piano lessons center on the mechanics of hand independence and the emotional weight of dynamics.
I help kids, beginners, and advanced players find structure in their practice through deliberate chord voicing. You will find that my approach to memorization technique makes heavy pieces feel manageable. I look forward to sharing these annotated practice notes with you after every single session.

Silence in the room often matters just as much as the notes we play. You might expect a rigid focus on classical repertoire, but I prioritize jazz improvisation and ear training instead.
We explore pop and contemporary styles while maintaining a firm grasp on pedalling technique. My 13 years of experience at the piano allow me to demystify complex accompaniment skills for every student level. I integrate the rhythmic sensibilities from my Andean, Chilean, and Argentinian background into your weekly routine. You will always leave with annotated practice notes to guide your independent work between meetings.
This process ensures your technique evolves alongside your musical ear. I find that building a strong technical base creates total freedom of expression. Let us make some music.
