About Austin
"I am a piano teacher with 7 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Classical Piano. I enjoy helping students build strong musical skills in a friendly and encouraging learning environment. Every lesson is planned to keep students involved and excited to learn.
My teaching combines piano technique, music theory, music history, creativity, and practical performance skills. I believe students learn better when they understand why music works, not just how to play the notes. One student became much more confident after connecting the story behind a piece with the way they performed it.
I teach children, teenagers, adults, beginners, and advanced learners, adapting every lesson to suit their needs. Whether the goal is learning for enjoyment, preparing for exams, or performing with confidence, I provide guidance that supports steady progress. I would be happy to help you develop your skills and enjoy every step of your piano journey."

"I believe every student learns best with a clear plan and steady practice. My lessons are designed to build confidence while making music enjoyable from the very beginning. We focus on strong piano technique, good posture, and relaxed hand movement.
Sight reading is included in every lesson because it helps students become more independent musicians. I also teach music theory so students understand the ideas behind the notes they play. Improvisation activities encourage creativity and help students feel comfortable exploring new musical ideas.
For students preparing for graded exams or important performances, I create structured practice plans with clear weekly goals. We work on musical expression, accuracy, and performance confidence so every piece feels well prepared. I often suggest playing a short section slowly before increasing the speed because that simple habit prevents many mistakes.
Progress is tracked through practice notes and regular reviews, making it easy to see improvement over time. We also use virtual piano apps and metronomes to make practice more effective and consistent at home. These tools help students stay focused and develop a stronger sense of rhythm.
I adjust every lesson to match the student's pace and goals. My aim is to help every learner become a confident pianist who enjoys both the journey and the music they create."
