About Ivy

I have guided pianists toward discovering the poetry hidden within sound. With a Licentiate of Music in Piano, my foundation is both classical and expressive, grounded in technique yet driven by imagination. I see the piano not only as an instrument but as a canvas where stories unfold and emotions take form.
In my teaching, literature, imagery, and storytelling intertwine with each phrase and tone. Each piece becomes a landscape—shaped by light, color, and feeling. Together, my students and I explore the moods that lie between the notes, the symbols that breathe meaning into melody, and the phrasing that turns sound into language.
Lessons are spaces for reflection and discovery. I encourage learners to listen deeply to sense the shifting hues of tone, the gravity of silence, and the rhythm of emotion. Technique is taught as a means of expression, allowing artistry to bloom naturally through disciplined craft.
