I have worked as a classroom teacher, curriculum developer, tutor for classroom and standardized testing at all grade levels. I've worked in the field of English education (specializing in creative writing) in extremely various environments for over a decade and proud to have had students realize their dreams of securing a college education, matriculating to the next grade level, improving their standardized test scores and even broadening their horizons in literature and their own writing.

I love teaching English, from basic grammar to cross-discipline study to showing students the value and power in developing their voices within their writing. I am passionate and positive; I believe every student has the ability to succeed and am always willing to develop individual approaches that allow my students to succeed. I am familiar with Common Core approaches and am adept at interpreting and adapting to whatever in-school curriculum is being utilized. I believe that positivity, mutual respect and making a personal connection paired with my education and experience allow me to help my students flourish.
