About Lucas
Hello! I am Lucas Waye, an upcoming graduate from Mount Allison University where I am to complete a specially approved Double Major program in Indigenous Studies and Political Science. I am a huge advocate for people with learning disabilities, and believe that accommodations make a world of difference to those who need them. I used them heavily throughout my time in university, and if it was not for academic support I would have never gotten a 4.1 GPA. I want to use the tools I have learned and developed over my time in University to continue to help others reach their academic potential.

My teaching methodology comes from understanding my students first! Neurodivergence can often make focusing on topics that are not super interesting quite difficult, and I specialize in finding the fun in all of school's mundane tasks! I take a "what is strong not what is wrong" approach, which involves identifying the desires and strengths of the student and then looking at how to apply those to tasks that may not be as fun or rewarding. I utilize methods such as:
