I have been friends with Oliver for nearly 15 years, during which he has completed both a Masters and a PHD in philosophy; and I often tell people he is the most intelligent person I know.

Whilst some consider contrarians a bore, I feel privileged to have had my deeply held political, philosophical and ethical beliefs challenged by someone skilled enough to uncover the nuance of a topic I thought I knew inside out.

Without his friendship my life would be much more “unexamined”. Plus I was in a band with him for a bit, so I can vouch for the fact that he’ll show up on time and have done his homework.

Oliver's calm and reassuring teaching methods have helped further my understanding of a subject I've struggled with historically. He tailored our discussions to my needs whilst ensuring what we talked about was relevant and appropriately challenging.
