About Rosie
I've always had a passion for English Literature and essay writing. Throughout school, I particularly enjoyed analysing texts, exploring different interpretations, and developing strong written arguments. Reading and writing have remained interests of mine beyond the classroom, and I enjoy helping others build the confidence to express their ideas clearly and effectively.
I graduated from the University of Warwick with a First Class degree in Politics, where essay writing, critical analysis, and clear communication were at the heart of my studies. Combined with my A Levels in English Literature, Politics, and Psychology, this has given me a strong academic foundation that I now use to support students in achieving their own goals.
Alongside my academic background, I have over five years of experience as a swimming teacher. This has taught me how to communicate clearly, adapt my teaching style to suit different learners, and create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their skills at their own pace.
I understand that every student learns differently, so I aim to make lessons engaging, encouraging, and tailored to individual needs. Whether you're looking to strengthen your essay writing, develop critical analysis skills, or build confidence in understanding literary texts, lessons are designed to help you make measurable progress while staying aligned with your school curriculum and exam board requirements.
My teaching focuses on breaking down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps. For English Literature, I help students develop a deeper understanding of texts, themes, characters, and literary techniques while improving their ability to construct well-structured, analytical essays. I also provide guidance on exam technique, planning responses, and writing with clarity and precision.
I hold a First Class BA in Politics from the University of Warwick and achieved A Levels in English Literature, Politics, and Psychology. My academic background has given me extensive experience in research, critical thinking, and producing high-quality essays with skills I enjoy helping students develop themselves.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long and are carefully planned to suit each student's learning style and objectives. I work primarily with GCSE and A Level students, whether they need ongoing academic support, exam preparation, or help improving their essay writing and analytical skills.
