About Hefin

My professional background gives me a practical understanding of how politics works, which I enjoy bringing into my lessons through real-world examples and current affairs.

I want to teach because I am passionate about making politics accessible, engaging and enjoyable for students. I believe that understanding politics is not just about learning facts, but about developing the confidence to question, analyse and form independent opinions. My aim is to help every student build their knowledge, strengthen their critical thinking and achieve their academic goals in a supportive and encouraging environment.

About the lesson

I have over six years of experience working in Westminster, a BA in Politics and an MA in Political Communication.

I offer engaging, tailored tutoring designed to build students’ knowledge, confidence and analytical skills.

My approach combines clear explanations of key political concepts with real-world examples, discussion and exam-style practice. I help students develop critical thinking, construct persuasive arguments and master the essay-writing techniques needed to succeed in their exams. Lessons are tailored to each student’s ability, learning style and goals, with a focus on strengthening understanding and improving exam performance.

Lessons typically last 60 minutes and are available online or in London. I tutor GCSE and A-level students, supporting them with subject knowledge, essay structure, revision and exam preparation.
