About Cohen
With 12 years of experience as an ESL tutor, I am dedicated to helping high school and college students improve their English and achieve their goals. I strongly believe that education has the power to change lives, and I am committed to making learning a positive experience for every student.
I have worked with around 150 to 200 students, which has helped me understand different learning styles and challenges. I focus on making lessons simple, practical, and easy to understand so students can use English confidently in real-life situations. One of the most important milestones in my career has been helping students overcome their fear of speaking English.
Many of my students have grown in confidence, improved their academic results, and developed strong communication skills. My classes are interactive and engaging, with a focus on real-life examples and regular practice. I create a friendly and supportive environment where students feel comfortable learning. My aim is to guide students, build their confidence, and help them succeed in their English learning journey.

I follow a practical, student-focused ESL teaching methodology that combines real-life application with interactive exercises. I use real-life examples and case studies to help students understand how English is used in daily life, professional environments, and academic tasks.
Motivation is an essential part of my teaching, and I create a positive atmosphere where students feel encouraged to participate actively and practice regularly. Problem-solving exercises, such as role-plays, discussions, and scenario-based activities, help students develop fluency, critical thinking, and communication skills.
I maintain integrity by providing honest feedback and guidance. Flexibility is important, as I adapt lessons to each student’s learning style, level, and goals. Along with ESL, I teach grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and writing to ensure holistic language development.
