The importance of having a good understanding of both the written and spoken forms of the language cannot be overstated in the world we live in today. First impressions matter and perhaps the most indelible are those conveyed in oral presentations and academic essays.
I offer lessons in academic writing and citing as well as oral presentation and speech. I also offer lessons in approaches to academic reading and comprehension.
The lesson structure involves an introductory session in order to gauge your particular needs and structure a suitable course of action.
In the case of writing skills, a review of techniques and approaches will be followed by an in-depth review of the specific topic at hand as well as assistance in the actual composition of any written work.
Oral presentation skills will be approached through hands-on lessons which will involve varied approaches in presentation writing as well as techniques and exercises useful in developing confidence when giving live presentations or speeches.
