About Arthur
I’m a 22 year old Masters student studying Creative Technologies, specifically in music composition, singing and songwriting. I'm fascinated by composing and I'm working on multiple musical projects alongside my research project. Although I'm English, I lived in France from age 10-18 and studied in French. Despite having the disadvantage of the language barrier, I had to adapt to revising and taking exams in a different language and I also achieved excellent grades. I swiftly adjusted to the English academic system when starting university and had outstanding grades in academic submissions.
I love tutoring and I’m very passionate about my work. I believe that my previous work has helped peoples self-confidence, grades and understanding of subjects they struggled in.

Since 2021, I have been mentoring undergraduate students in music on their composition and guiding them through academic work. I have also been tutoring English Literature to GCSE and KS3 students since the beginning of 2022.
My lessons will be structured differently depending on each student, I will try my best to familiarise myself with the subject beforehand. Everybody learns and understands in different ways and tutoring allows for more personal teaching to that particular student. My tuition will consist of a lesson with example and an exercise allowing the student to show what they understand and what they don't. We can then go over the elements they have problems with until they understand it. I wish for each of my students confidence to grow by encouraging them to ask questions and feel comfortable making mistakes in tuition so they know not to make them in the future. I believe humans learn better when they enjoy learning, so I aim to keep my lessons interactive and fun.
