Nihar helped me prepare for both the SAT and IELTS examinations, along with providing me some guidance with English A-Levels.
My favourite part about his tutoring style was that he wasn't afraid to admit when he was unsure about a few questions in the SAT or IELTS. In such situations, he would research after class, and within 24 hours, would answer my doubts or solve the problem, and also give clarity on the concept.
He was extremely sweet in our classes, and on days I did not feel like studying, he would engage me with quizzes which proved to be useful for my IELTS exam, in which I scored an overall 8.5 because of him.
For A-Levels, he would check my practice essays within a day's time and provide constructive feedback. But the best part was when he would make me check my own essay alongside him, improving not only my conceptual understanding, but also understanding of structure and expression.

I found Nihar through mutual friends and family, and deciding to take his help with IB English Lit and Lang was worth it. In IB, English is the one subject I struggled with, as I was weak in textual analysis and writing. He was the only person to realize that my problem lay with not understanding how and what to write, but just putting it down on paper.

Instead of going the tried-and-failed route of continuously writing complete answers for different texts, he taught me how to plan the essay within 15 min, creating a basic framework which would ensure that not only I stick to answering the question, but just get my ideas in order.

His method of teaching is strict and fair, but supportive. Even when he pointed out the errors in my answers and plans, he would simply explain where I was going wrong in terms of thought process, rather than narrow down on the mistake. He doesn't mind if someone is slow to pick up a particular concept, and also ensures that the student devotes time to their other commitments. He also is more than happy to listen to you rant about the difficulty of the course, or anything in general, and surprisingly utilises that knowledge to improve your work. He was the reason I was able to score a 7 in my final exams in English, even though I had begun the year with 4's and 5's.
