About Darrel
I know what it is like to understand what needs doing and still struggle to begin, prioritise or follow it through.
I am autistic and have ADHD, and I founded NeuroHub UK to provide neurodivergent adults with practical, judgement-free mentoring. I also work as Co-Founder of NLX, where I examine how unclear expectations, overload and weak systems affect performance. I am currently completing an ILM Level 6 Diploma in Leadership and Management.
My approach is calm, direct and realistic. I will not tell you to try harder or impose a perfect routine. We look at where the difficulty is actually occurring—too many decisions, unclear priorities, unrealistic demands, sensory load or fluctuating capacity—and build something simpler around it.
My recommendations describe me as patient, thoughtful and willing to challenge assumptions without taking control away from the person. That is the balance I bring to these sessions.
This is practical mentoring, not therapy, diagnosis or medical treatment. No formal diagnosis is required.

Bring one real issue to the session: a task you cannot start, priorities that keep competing, an overloaded week, a difficult conversation or a system that works briefly and then collapses.
We will slow the problem down and identify where it is actually breaking. That may be unclear expectations, too many steps, decision fatigue, unrealistic timing, fluctuating energy or a plan designed for an ideal day rather than your real one.
A typical 60-minute session includes:
• agreeing the one problem we are solving
• mapping what currently happens
• separating essential actions from noise
• building a simpler structure, prompt or routine
• testing whether it is realistic
• finishing with one to three clear next actions
You will not leave with a large generic action plan. The aim is clarity and a small system you can actually use.
This support is especially suitable for late-diagnosed adults, professionals and mature students. Sessions are online, collaborative and paced to how you process information.

I have known Darrel for many years personally and professionally and his passion for supporting neurodivergent people has always been evident
His enthusiasm, knowledge, and genuine commitment to helping others make a real difference.
I have attended several of Darrels sessions and they have been worth every penny. Not only have they had a significant impact on me personally but they have also helped me develop my understanding of AI, enabling me to work more effectively and confidently in my professional role
What sets Darrel apart is his warm, supportive and non judgmental approach. He creates a comfortable environment where people feel understood, valued and empowered to learn and grow
Whether you’re struggling to manage your neurodivergence or trying to navigate the rapidly evolving world of AI, Darrel has a unique ability to make complex topics accessible and practical
He also provides outstanding value for money, delivering high quality support, insight and guidance.
I cannot recommend Darrel highly enough. If you’re considering working with him, give him a try, you won’t be disappointedDarrel has a natural ability to help people look at situations differently and get beyond the surface of a problem.
His approach isn’t about telling someone what they should do or giving them all the answers. Instead, he asks the right questions, challenges assumptions and helps people work through situations for themselves, building confidence in their own decisions along the way.
One of his real strengths is recognising that everyone thinks, communicates and processes information differently. He adapts his approach to the individual rather than expecting the individual to adapt to him, creating an environment that feels supportive, patient and non-judgemental.
He is particularly good at taking situations that feel complicated or overwhelming and breaking them down into something clearer and more manageable. Importantly, he is also willing to challenge someone when needed rather than simply telling them what they want to hear.
I would highly recommend Darrel to anyone looking for an approachable and thoughtful coach who will genuinely listen, challenge their thinking and help them find a way forward that works for them.Darrel is a dedicated and highly organised History teacher who is passionate about helping students achieve their full potential. His lessons are carefully planned, well-structured, and tailored to each student's needs, making even challenging historical topics clear and engaging.
Students and parents particularly value his detailed feedback, which helps identify strengths, address areas for improvement, and build confidence for exams. With his patient approach and thorough preparation, Darrel creates a supportive learning environment where students can make consistent progress and develop a deeper understanding of History.I'm finding my sessions with Darrel insightful and extremely helpful. He has a great toolkit of strategies and suggestions that can help with situations and challenges that I face as someone neurodiverse. Darrel communicates with empathy and care, and I find it easy to be open and vulnerable with him. Highly recommend Darrel!
