Teaching Techniques and Methodology
Communicative Approach: My priority is for the student to feel comfortable speaking the language from the beginning, so from the beginning of the class I try to encourage real conversation. Through dialogues, simulations or even debates on current topics, the student learns vocabulary and structures while practicing fluency.
Task-Based Learning: Using tasks that simulate everyday situations, such as shopping, asking for directions, or job interviews. In this way, the student is confronted with real situations where they must use the language in specific contexts. This allows practical skills to be developed, and more importantly, it provides confidence.
Gradual Immersion Method: I gradually introduce new grammatical structures and vocabulary through listening comprehension, reading and practical exercises, so that the student feels immersed in the language from the very first moment. For example, through videos, songs or articles related to their interests.
Use of Multimedia Resources: Classes are not limited to just books or flashcards. I integrate multimedia resources, such as videos, podcasts, and songs, to make classes more dynamic and engaging, which helps students become familiar with different accents and speaking styles.
Constructive Correction: I like to correct errors constructively, focusing on the explanation and context behind the error. Correction is not just about grammar, but about how the error impacts communication.
