About Hattie
I am a committed flute tutor with 9 years of experience teaching students from school to college level, and I am passionate about helping them grow both musically and personally. My journey in music has been filled with learning, dedication, and continuous improvement, and I aim to pass on these values to my students.
Over the years, I have worked with many learners, helping them develop their skills and gain confidence in performing. One of my proudest achievements has been seeing students participate in competitions and events with confidence and enthusiasm.
My teaching method is simple, structured, and practical, focusing on strong fundamentals such as breathing techniques, finger placement, tone clarity, and consistent practice. I also encourage creativity and enjoyment in learning, as I believe that music should be both meaningful and fun.
My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel motivated and inspired to achieve their goals.

My teaching methodology for flute is based on Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity. I believe that every student can learn flute with the right support and guidance. I begin by understanding each student’s level, goals, and interest in music so I can design lessons that suit them personally.
I motivate students by setting clear and achievable goals and encouraging them regularly, which helps them stay confident and focused. Communication is very important in my teaching, and I explain breathing techniques, finger placement, posture, and tone production in a simple and easy way.
I make sure students understand each concept before moving ahead. With integrity, I guide students step by step and focus on building strong fundamentals. I provide honest feedback and help them improve patiently.
Creativity allows me to design engaging lessons through songs, exercises, and interactive activities. Along with flute, I also teach music theory, rhythm, and listening skills to support complete musical development.
