About Charlie
I have worked in the animation industry for over 25 years now at studios such as LucasArts, DreamWorks, Pixar, and Walt Disney Animation Studios. During this time I worked in various capacities including animation, storyboarding, character design, modeling, and layout. I’m excited to teach from my experience and hopefully help you develop a solid understanding of digital cinematic storytelling.

In my class I will help you learn all the basics of digital cinematography, camera techniques, character blocking, proxy modeling, pre lighting and editing in order to enter into the 3D animation industry as a layout artist.
We will start with a basic story idea and take it all the way to a final layout pass ready to be taken into an animation pipeline.
