About Suzanne
I've wanted to work with children since I was at school myself, and teaching has been my career for the last 25 years, currently at a primary school in Wigan. What drew me to tutoring was noticing how much difference a bit of one-to-one time can make, especially for children who feel lost or overwhelmed in a busy classroom of thirty. I trained at Edge Hill University and the University of Bolton, but most of what I bring to a lesson has come from years of actually being in the room with children, working out what helps each one rather than teaching to a script

Hi, I'm Suzanne. I'm a fully qualified primary teacher with over 25 years in the classroom, and I've spent that time working with children of every ability, not just the ones who find school easy. I tutor from Early Years through to Year 6, though most of my sessions are with Year 5 and 6 children getting ready for their SATs. I specialise in supporting children with ADHD, autism and behavioural needs, and children who've simply lost confidence in learning, whatever the reason behind it. Sessions usually run for an hour, in person or online, and I build each one around what your child actually needs rather than a set programme. I hold an enhanced DBS check, and no formal diagnosis is needed for me to help
