About Onuri

I’m Onuri Smith — a Bermuda-born actor, singer, and dancer, and a proud graduate of Italia Conti & LIPA. Since 10 years old I performed in community theatre and projects in Bermuda. At only 16, I moved to the UK to begin arts training, going on to perform, learn and teach around the world. I didn’t grow up with endless opportunities. I built my career from scratch, chasing a dream across the ocean to turn passion into a profession. Now, I want to help others do the same. My mission as a teacher is simple: to show you that it is possible. Whether you want to dance, sing, act, or simply express yourself with confidence, I’m here to give you the tools, discipline, and belief you need to shine. I teach with energy, honesty, and heart — because the performing arts are about more than steps and notes; they’re about telling your story. If I can inspire even one future performer to take that leap and keep going, I’ve done my job. Let’s create something unforgettable — together :)

About the lesson

• I can Choreograph you a routine in Jazz, Contemporary and Commercial style or you can bring your own dance (audition material/competitions or any performances) for guidance and feedback. • I can provide guidance in a workshop style with exercises for your Scenes / Sides and Monologues: assisting with refining character, performance, beats, intentions, subtext and more. • Integrated mindset, breath & wellness techniques • A safe space to develop confidence in performing regardless of your current level My approach is to create an environment of freedom, oftentimes performers can feel limited by comparison or rigidity of some industry practices. So while we work towards refining technique, I will also highly encourage each performer to find their own movement language & styles. I offer: •Group & One to One sessions •Coaching for Auditions (college, university & any other projects) •Choreography creation for Solo or group performances •Live or in person classes/ coaching sessions I welcome all ages 15+ to enquire, all backgrounds from beginners to pros are welcome. With over 10+ years of experience in dance and musical theatre- I am delighted to share my craft and knowledge, ultimately with a passion for co-creating and learning from others in the process.
