About Dana
I am a published author with two books, many short stories and an award winning poet. Have edited seven anthologies, co-edited one which won an award from the Cat Writers of America. My BA is in English Creative Writing with a minor in Speech. I appear at local conventions and am a practiced public speaker.

I find out what my students are interested in and build lesson plans around that. Student's struggling with reading, I encourage to read out loud to increase their confidence and comprehension. Seeing and hearing help to do that. I reward students and come up with games they can play to make it more fun.

Details
Cancellations are allowed with no penalty if the student has a family trip, celebration planned or if they are ill. Experience has taught that a child who isn't feeling well won't really comprehend the lesson and it is better if they are allowed to recover first before resuming. Calling tutor to let them know is required or else client will be charged an extra $5 for every missed session in addition to the regular rate.
