About Eric
I fell in love with words in my teens and ran away to Hollywood when I was twenty. I've lived by the edge of my pen for three decades now, during which time I've written or rewritten more than a dozen feature films, penned a published book about my father's work (talk about writer's block!), and supported my artistic side with everything from ad copy to technical reports. I believe firmly that artists improve their craft by sharing what they've learned, so I've been a coach, mentor, consultant, and teacher for basically as long as I've known how to make a sentence sing.

I see my role less as providing a template or format (although those can help) and more as a voice of experience that can help cut through the noise that holds back a student's true voice. I've helped aspiring screenwriters, prison inmates, elementary school kids, and high school and college students wipe away obstacles and express themselves more boldly, honestly, and beautifully. My approach works for a wide range of aspiring writers and is highly customized to each one's unique starting point and goals.
