About Paul
I gained my three degrees - BA, MA and PhD - at the University of Bristol, UK and then pursued an academic career abroad for over 25 years. Over that time I have written 3 academic books on English Literature, a host of peer-reviewed articles and chapters and taught literature to a generation of undergraduate students. I know what I'm talking about and I know how to deliver that knowledge online (I even set up an online BA during my university career). Most of all, I will give you not only knowledge of particular texts, authors, genres and periods, but also the skills you'll need to approach and analyse any text at all.

You'll have my full attention and expertise during hour-long lessons. PhD holder in English Literature, 25 years of teaching at University level, numerous peer-reviewed publications. I teach literature at GCSE, A level, Bachelors and Masters level. I will tailor my expertise to suit your needs, whether it is a step-by-step analysis of Shakespeare, a poem, a play or a novel, or a consultation on your MA dissertation. I love revealing the depths and joys of literature to students and to help them realise their full potential.
