I have also taught online, becoming familiar with techniques (rewards, games) to make children feel comfortable and confident. English and French language teacher with over 15 years' experience teaching all age groups across the world. This has allowed me to gain insight into recurring errors common to non-native speakers of either English or French, which enables me to target these mistakes for quicker results. My methodology includes getting to know individual students, working to their strengths and creating a comfortable and safe environment to encourage conversation. I prefer teaching grammar in context to help students commit rules and examples to memory. I have experience teaching children according to the curriculum, helping with homework tasks and providing insightful explanations that help students make sense of the work. Rewards and games can also be used to help children feel at ease and gain confidence. I have also taught university-level students to develop all four skills – speaking, listening, writing, reading – simultaneously so that they can gain fluency in their new language. My experience also includes teaching adults who wish to learn a new language for pleasure, for work or for immigration purposes. A typical lesson plan will usually be based around a theme, drawing from various resources to develop students’ speaking, listening, writing, and reading skills over one or two sessions. Je privilégie l’enseignement de la grammaire en contexte pour aider les étudiants à mémoriser les règles et les exemples. J’ai de l’expérience dans l’enseignement auprès d’enfants conformément au programme scolaire, en les aidant avec leurs devoirs et en fournissant des explications claires qui leur permettent de comprendre leur travail. Des récompenses et des jeux peuvent également être utilisés pour mettre les enfants à l’aise et renforcer leur confiance. J’ai également enseigné à des étudiants universitaires pour développer simultanément les quatre compétences — expression orale, compréhension orale, expression écrite et compréhension écrite — afin qu’ils puissent gagner une aisance dans leur nouvelle langue. Mon expérience inclut aussi l’enseignement auprès d’adultes souhaitant apprendre une nouvelle langue pour le plaisir, pour des besoins professionnels ou pour des démarches d’immigration. Un plan de cours typique est généralement structuré autour d’un thème et s’appuie sur diverses ressources pour développer les compétences d’expression orale, de compréhension orale, d’expression écrite et de compréhension écrite des étudiants sur une ou deux séances.
