About Fatemeh

My name is Fatemeh!

I have bachelor and a masters in Architecture. I graduated in 2019 from Washington University in St. Louis. I have produced some of my best work in grad school, thanks to many amazing professors that flew in from all over the world, bringing their distinctive experience and knowledge.

I worked in a huge corporate office for 1.5 years back in St. Louis and then moved to NYC. Worked at Andrew Berman Architect for 3.5 years and currently I'm at nARCHITECTS since 2022.

I've work on 2 libraries in the city, renovation of the school of architecture for SUNY Buffalo, operations building for NYC Parks department, renovation of an abandoned train shed in New Jersey, 150-unit low-income housing for elderly and homeless in NYC and some high-end houses in the Hamptons. A lot of exciting project!!

As an architect, my life got much easier as soon as I could create the portfolio that presented my personality, my philosophy and my work properly. I have used it to get jobs, side gigs, fellowships and much more!
I know the magic of a good portfolio and would love to share it with you!

About the lesson

Building a portfolio for uni admission or job hunting is a long and lonely process. Hours and hours of polishing your old work and making it all look fresh and appealing, creating new content out of context only to prove your abilities and so on...

I have created and updated portfolios many times and have observed architects looking at my work at job interview. I did land some of the best jobs in NYC but it didn't happen overnight.

It is 75% experience. There are many tips and tricks that I've learned along the way and would love to share with you to save your time and accelerate this process!

Through our session, we can go over your portfolio at any stage you are:
If it's a one time lesson: I'll try to make the most out of it and project by project, page by page give you tips on making it better.

If more than one lesson: We can sketch out what the portfolio should look like together. Then week by week, we'll set goals and define milestones. This way you'll have my support to steadily make progress and receive comments.
