About Jillian
I began taking piano lessons myself at 3 years old and became a certified Suzuki piano teacher by age 11.
I attended extensive training at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario for many summers and took private lessons for 15 years at which point I was able to play and learn absolutely any piece of music meant for the piano on my own.
It gives me great joy to share the gift of piano with anyone who truly wants to learn. Piano is the foundation for all instruments, and it can enhance many areas of your life beyond your actual lesson time!

Whether you're brand new to the piano, or need extra guidance with a difficult piece-we'll work together to get you where you want to go!
Music theory is an essential building block for any musician, and that's where I begin. For younger students, the Suzuki method works wonders with understanding the instrument.
Depending on the students individual preferences and learning needs, I'll incorporate memorization games and set small daily/weekly goals in connection with the frequency of lessons. Please feel free to ask any questions!
