About Esme

I am a French tutor with 13 years of experience teaching high school and college students, having helped more than 150 learners gain fluency, confidence, and academic success.

My teaching philosophy revolves around personalised learning, ensuring that each lesson is adapted to the student’s pace, goals, and learning style.

I employ interactive exercises, conversation practice, role-playing, multimedia tools, and cultural exploration to make lessons engaging, practical, and effective. My unique skill lies in simplifying challenging grammar and vocabulary, enabling students to communicate naturally and confidently.

I focus on creating a motivating, supportive, and interactive learning environment, where students feel encouraged to participate, ask questions, and celebrate progress. Lessons are structured to develop all aspects of language—speaking, listening, reading, and writing—while keeping learning enjoyable.

Teaching French is my passion. I aim to provide a comprehensive, tailored, and enriching learning experience, helping students gain fluency, cultural insight, and a lifelong love for the French language.

About the lesson

I teach French using an interactive and student-focused methodology. I believe that active participation helps students learn faster.

I use real-life examples such as restaurant conversations, interviews, airport dialogues, business meetings, and academic discussions. These case studies help students practise natural communication.

Grammar is explained in context, and students immediately practise through speaking and writing exercises. Problem-solving tasks encourage independent thinking and improve fluency.

Motivation is at the heart of my teaching approach. I guide students patiently and celebrate their progress. Integrity is very important to me, and I provide honest feedback to help students improve continuously. I am flexible and customise lessons based on each student’s goals and learning speed.

Besides French, I also teach related subjects such as grammar foundations, pronunciation training, communication skills, and exam preparation techniques. My objective is to help students communicate confidently and clearly in French.
