About Gary

Music has been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember. I began playing drums and guitar at a young age, and my music degree has helped me deepen my understanding and refine my skills even further.
Drumming, in particular, has always been a meaningful creative outlet for me — a place to explore, focus, and connect with music on a deeper level.

As a teacher, my aim is to share that same sense of enjoyment and creativity with my students. Whether you’re picking up the sticks for the first time or looking to advance your technique, I focus on creating lessons that are supportive, structured, and enjoyable. I want each student to feel encouraged, confident, and excited about their progress.

Lessons take place in my home studio, which is equipped with two drum kits to provide a comfortable and practical learning environment. This setup allows us to work side-by-side, making demonstrations and hands-on guidance easy and engaging

About the lesson

I believe that learning is most effective when it’s enjoyable.
Drumming involves technical elements such as theory, mechanics and rudiments, I balance these with practical, hands-on examples on the drum kit, helping you develop your skills while keeping the experience engaging.

For me, drumming is all about the music, rhythm and having fun — and that’s what I aim to bring to every lesson.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in various music schools, which has given me valuable experience teaching students of all ages and abilities. During my time at college, I also completed a teaching module to further refine my approach and ensure lessons are structured and effective.

Lesson lengths can range from 30 to 60 minutes, and I welcome students of all ages and levels.
