About Sebastian

Fascinated by the film “Fantasia”, I got the first inspiration as a child to combine pictures with music. After the piano lessons, the first compositions followed, which I combined with pictures according to my model and put them on display on YouTube today.

The later discovery of the guitar inspired the urge to write songs even more. From then on, the daily routine was characterized by hours of practice. This finally paid off, because even as a teenager I was able to work with bands on different stages, such as B. appear at the festival "Rocken am Brocken" and in a television show "Walter Late Night". Later I got third place with the band "Bad Excuse" at the Emergenza Finale in Hanover. With the new formation "High Octane", new stages will be conquered in the future. In addition, I give private concerts in Wiesbaden, where different musicians come together and create an interesting evening with different musical styles.

I also discovered teaching for myself. As an instrument teacher for guitar, bass and piano, I teach at the music school "Musikimperium Jonas" and give private lessons.

My compositions find their place as background music in various projects (eg in the gaming area).

At the New Music Academy in Wiesbaden I am professionalizing my skills by studying the electric guitar. Internationally known guest lecturers, such as Guthrie Govan, Victor Smolski, Marcus Deml and Greg Koch, also gave workshops there.

About the lesson

The musical spectrum spans rock, metal, pop, funk, blues, fusion, jazz and reggae. Improvisation and songwriting are an essential part of my teaching. The creative potential of the student is addressed on a broad foundation of timing, technology and theory. Playing and analyzing known pieces also develop skills on the instrument. Because: The focus is on motivation and fun. The lessons can be designed like a course or it can be individually tailored to musical preferences and the level of knowledge of the student. In summary, the following is on the lesson plan:

-Basics (posture, touch, basic chords)
-harmony
-Rhythmics
-Technique
-Improvisation
-Learning different styles ( eg rock, funk, metal, jazz, blues)
-Creative handling of the guitar / songwriting
ear training
