About Cheyenne
I am a 23 year-old professional English literature and language tutor, with over 3 years experience and 100% success rate with over 30 students achieving at least a 2 grade improvement. I specialise in the AQA and Edexcel exam boards for GCSE and IGCSE English students.
I am also TEFL certified, and have just completed 15 months as an English teacher across private English academies in South Korea. My classes ranged from 3-14 years old.
I am a graduate from the University of Nottingham with a BA in English Literature and Language, and the most enjoyable and interesting part of my degree was meeting like-minded students who offered a whole new realm of insightful perspectives and interpretations to the texts we studied. I would love to continue this trait as an important aspect to my own lessons!
In my free time, I love reading historical fiction and psychological thrillers, or I am experimenting with new recipes through my love of cooking. The art of storytelling can be told through different modes, and it is definitely all worth exploring!

Each lesson will be catered and shaped around the student, structured in a way where the students needs are met, and also challenged.
My lessons are designed for native and non-native English students between 14-19 years old. I combine a healthy balance of activities, analytical and perceptive skill development, essay writing practice, and creative writing skills.
My lessons are typically an hour long, and I focus on skill refinement, frequent homework, detailed feedback, and developing skills of timed conditioned practice and linguistic analysis.
My teaching methodology is creating a secure foundation of knowledge and understanding of the texts being studied, followed by developing a wide and advanced range of linguistic devices and historical context for support. By practicing and analysing past papers together, we can develop your analytical and perceptive skills and climb the academic ladder to reach top marks.
Homework will be set at the end of each lesson based on the topic of the lesson the student has just completed. This can range from detailed annotations, essay planning, and writing complete essays in timed conditions. At the start of the next lesson, we will begin by going over the homework feedback and making improvements. This will help track our progress throughout the course of the lessons.
