About Lillian
I hold a PhD in Music Performance and have 12 years of experience teaching guitar at multiple skill levels. My academic research focused on advanced performance techniques, interpretation methods, and music pedagogy. My guitar lessons are carefully structured to build advanced technical skill while encouraging confident musical expression. Early sessions focus strongly on clean tone production and smooth transitions across the fretboard. Each lesson begins with organized warm-up exercises that prepare both hands for focused technical development. I explain clearly how small adjustments in finger placement and movement greatly improve sound quality and consistency.
As learners progress, we explore advanced articulation techniques, dynamic control, and expressive phrasing. Song analysis helps students understand harmonic structure and interpret music with greater depth. Improvisation training is introduced gradually to build creativity, musical awareness, and independent thinking. Performance preparation includes complete repertoire run-throughs to strengthen focus, endurance, and stage confidence.
