About the lesson
It's important for students to understand the major events of a time period and their chronological relation to one another, but that knowledge rarely sticks without a narrative framework, so I frame the history of a period as a story. I also emphasize learning to "think like a historian" by teaching how to write a coherent analysis of primary sources.
