About Mi
Hello! I am a professional Mandarin teacher based in London with over 10 years of teaching experience, specialising in adult learners and professional clients.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language and Literature and a Master’s degree in Translation Studies. I have extensive experience teaching at university level, including courses on Chinese language, culture, and the origins of Chinese characters.
In addition to my academic background, I am also a Chinese web fiction writer, which allows me to bring a creative and authentic perspective to language learning. I was also influenced by a family background in traditional Chinese medicine, which has shaped my understanding of Chinese culture and philosophy.
I have taught internationally at a Confucius Institute in Australia and at universities in China, working with students from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.
As a certified Chinese language teacher (CTCSOL) and TESOL holder, I deliver structured, high-quality lessons in English, helping students build both practical communication skills and a deeper understanding of Chinese language and culture.
