About Arthur

In addition of being an educator and transmitting my musical knowledge since I graduated in 2014, I have been a professional guitarist for 5 years. I have a few hundred concerts to my credit, in France and in Europe.

I had the opportunity to share sets with artists like Jain or Her. I also had the chance to play for the singer Mika in July 2019.

I also made several studio recordings with my band YEAST. You may have heard my music on a television commercial (a clue, the high-end model of a French car brand ...)

About the lesson

Hello,

I am a 28-year-old musician with a degree in popular music from the Conservatoire de Lyon. I offer guitar lessons, alongside my musical activity. Since my background is build on popular music, so is my teaching. But first of all, what is popular music?

To put it simply, this concept includes all the grand children of rock n roll, traditional music, jazz ... So it goes from hip-hop to reggae, including pop, metal, folk, soul, etc.

As a teacher, my priority is to listen to the student. Music is above all a hobby and a recreational passion, which must help those who practice it to express themselves and open up. Therefor, I will always focus my lessons on the goals and desires of the student, could it be mastering a particular technique, learning a song, sound experimentation, composition ...

Regarind the goals of the pupil, I will adapt in order to give him the tools he will need to reach them, so he makes progress at his own pace and in the direction that suits him.

These tools are for example:
➜ knowledge of the instrument and its functioning
➜ different technical skills and playing methods
➜ musical theory and the ability to identify different chords and intervals by ear
➜ writing and composition tips
➜etc.

My lessons are generally individual lessons of 1h. For group lessons, this will depend on various factors, including the age of the students.
