About Ella
I have studied at both the Royal College of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama obtaining both undergraduate and postgraduate violin performance degrees. Whilst at the Royal College of Music I also completed my ABRSM teaching Diploma which I passed with distinction. As well as teaching I have also had a great deal of experience performing in solo, chamber, and orchestral settings. I have performed in venues such as the Barbican Centre, Royal Opera House and Manchester Bridgewater Hall. I like to maintain variety in my violin playing, recording music for pop singers such as Tom Rosenthal, George Cosby and Roo Panes. This influences and adds to my openness to all musical styles in my teaching.

I strive to personalise my lessons to the needs of the students and work with them to achieve their goals, both in the short term and over longer periods of time. This could include working towards graded examinations, auditions or simply just learning for fun and enjoyment. I have also integrated broader skills from my previous work in pastoral roles into my teaching style, in order to ensure the most rewarding outcomes for students. I have worked with students as young as 4 all the way to adult learners and offer 30, 45 and 60 minute lessons depending on the level and age of the student.
