About JANAÈ
I’m a professional singer, songwriter, producer and performing artist with **16 years of vocal experience**. My journey began in childhood, where I spent much of my youth singing in choirs and developing my foundations as a vocalist. I later trained at **Pineapple Studios** and performed at prestigious London venues including **The Barbican**, gaining experience across both ensemble and live performance settings.
At 18, I decided to pursue music professionally as an independent artist, developing my skills not only as a vocalist but also as a songwriter, producer and performer. Since then, I have worked with producers who have credits with artists including **Craig David and Doechii** on music for my upcoming EP, while continuing to build my career as a live performer.
My live experience includes performing at Hackney Empire for a gala event, headlining my own show at The Old Queen’s Head, and selling out shows at venues including Colours Hoxton, SJQ Dalston and The Cavendish Arms, alongside performances at various other London venues and events.
Having experienced the journey from being a young singer learning the fundamentals to becoming a professional independent artist, I understand that developing your voice is about much more than simply being able to sing. It requires consistent training, physical awareness, confidence, technique and the ability to perform under pressure.
This is what I bring into my vocal lessons: practical experience, professional performance knowledge and a supportive approach designed to help each student understand and develop their own unique voice.

# A Beginner-Friendly Vocal Curriculum Built Around Your Voice
My vocal curriculum is designed primarily for **beginners and developing singers** who want to understand their voice, build confidence and learn how to use their body to produce a stronger, more controlled sound.
I believe singing is not just about having a “good voice” — it is a **skill that can be trained**. Through regular exercises and a consistent daily vocal routine, I help students learn how to understand their instrument and gradually develop better control, strength and confidence.
We’ll work on:
**Breath & diaphragm control** — learning how to support your voice properly rather than relying solely on your throat.
🧡 **Understanding your body as an instrument** — learning how posture, breathing and physical awareness affect the sound you produce.
**Chest, head & connected voice** — understanding the difference between registers and gradually training them to work together more smoothly.
**Vocal strength & control** — developing the coordination needed to sing with more consistency, power and control without forcing your voice.
**Building a daily routine** — creating simple exercises you can practise outside of lessons so that your progress continues between sessions.
**Stage confidence** — particularly for students who experience stage fright, nerves or fear around performing in front of other people.
️ **Open-mic preparation** — helping you choose and prepare your first song, practise performing it and build the confidence to actually step onto the stage.
My goal isn't to make every student sound the same. It's to help you **understand your own voice**, discover what it is capable of and give you the tools to control it.
Whether you've never had a vocal lesson before, don't feel naturally confident in your singing, or you're preparing to perform for the first time, we'll work at your pace and build your skills step by step.
**You don't need to already be a great singer to start — that's what the training is for.**
