About Malaika

Hi, I'm a professional software engineer, and Data Structures and Algorithms is something I work with every day, not just something I studied once and moved on from. I started tutoring because I remember exactly how overwhelming this subject felt when I was learning it myself, and I know how much of a difference it makes to have someone explain it clearly instead of just throwing terminology at you.

I specialize in working with complete beginners. You won't be expected to already know how to code, and you won't be judged for asking something that feels "obvious." Everyone starts somewhere, and my job is to make that starting point feel manageable instead of intimidating.

I care about making sure concepts genuinely stick, not just get covered. That means I'll slow down when something needs more time, and I'll always explain the reasoning behind a solution, not just hand you the answer. My goal is for you to leave each lesson actually understanding what you learned, and feeling more confident than when you started.

If you're new to programming and DSA feels like a wall you don't know how to climb, I'd be glad to help you take the first step.

About the lesson

I keep things simple. Before we touch any code, I make sure a concept actually makes sense in plain English. A stack is basically a pile of plates. A queue is a line at the shop. Once that clicks, we write real code together, every lesson. I'm not a fan of just talking at someone for an hour. You learn this stuff by doing it, messing it up, and doing it again.

Lessons usually run an hour, but I won't cut a topic short just because the clock says so. If something's not sinking in, we stay with it. If it clicks fast, we move on and I'll push you a bit harder.

I work as a software engineer, so this isn't just textbook knowledge for me. I use data structures and algorithms in actual production code, and I try to bring that real world angle into how I explain things, not just "this is on the syllabus."

These lessons are for absolute beginners. No coding background, no CS degree, no prior experience needed. If you've never written a line of code and DSA sounds intimidating, that's exactly who I'm here for. We start from zero.
