About Matias
Hey there! My name is Matias; I'm a highly skilled bassist looking to connect with motivated students. I've taught privately for several years and love working with students as passionate about music and learning as I am! Whatever you want to improve about your playing, I can help you reach your goals, no matter what genre! I have played in many different bands all over the country ranging in styles such as jazz, rock, country, pop, bluegrass, reggae, and metal. I've played THOUSANDS of shows and can prepare you to take the stage with any band! Think it's impossible to play like your musical heroes? It's not! I can give you the tools to reach your wildest musical dreams! We'll cover technique, ear training, and most importantly, HOW to practice! I can't wait to hear from you!

I love to tailor my lessons to the specific needs of the student while maintaining an emphasis on having fun! Do you have a song you have always wanted to learn but didn't know how to approach? Do you have difficulty keeping a consistent groove and staying in the pocket? Do you want to be able to unlock the fretboard and move around with ease? I can help with all of these things!
I love meeting beginner/intermediate players and taking their abilities to the next level. There are so many things that we can do to save time and frustration when it comes to learning the bass. All we need sometimes is someone to guide us on how to do so. I have dedicated many hours to my craft and am confident in my ability to allow my students to progress in the most efficient way that I can.
